Ethics save you money

Unethical behavior is too often excused as a means of saving money.  The problem is that you’re only doing this short term; once the consequences strike, the cost of noncompliance kicks your butt.

Long term, you’re better off Just Saying No when unethical influences urge you to cheat, lie, steal or cut corners.  You”ll thank yourself for resisting later.

I keep a quote from Warren Buffet around for just such an occasion:

“It takes 20 years to buld a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.”

Of course, there are several ways to say the same thing. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” comes to mind.
